Margaret Downs was a very special woman

Kim Downs writes:
That town mother mentioned in your article today is my husband's grandmother, Margaret Downs. She worked at Ben Franklin's from the mid 50's until it closed in the 70's. She is the mother of Mike Downs, grandmother of Chris and Josh Downs and the great grandmother of Easton, Grayson, and McKenna Downs ,all of Columbia. We are the only Downs family in Columbia. Her husband, Bill Downs owned the local printing shop.

Great to hear that she was a part of one of your special memories as a child, because she was a very special lady to us as well! Sincerely,-KIM DOWNS
