When people work out of town, they shop out of town

The Issue is JOBS. Wet/Dry is secondary. Drinking is simply a matter of choice. An economic issue. But the bigger issue for Adair County is jobs, she says

Jamie Isabelle writes:
As for the alcohol sale in Adair County, that is the least of my concerns for Adair County. Adair County needs factories and jobs. It is sad when people have to go to other counties to work. I know for myself, if I am working in another county; then I go to their stores while I am there. Does Adair not realize that most people probably do this and this is losing money for Adair county. Alcohol sales might actually benefit Columbia from the revenue. Either way if people are going to drink, it's their choice and will just take their money to other counties again losing money for Adair. I guess keeping the local bootlegger's pockets full than the whole town is more important. -JAMIE ISABELLE.
