Chester "K" Maynard, 66, W. Hwy 80, Nancy, KY, died Monday, October 10, 2011, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn the officiating clergy. Burial will be in Bernard Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at the funeral home.

Chester "K" Maynard was born Thursday, March 8, 1945, in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Alma Arthur Maynard and the late Ores Maynard. He died Monday, October 10, 2011, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 6 years, 7 months, and 2 days.

He was a logger.

He is survived by the following:
  • One sister: Lizzie Frances (J.C> Robertson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two brothers: Ralph "Bear" (Amy) Maynard, Russell Springs, KY; and Earl "Chigger" Maynard, Nancy, KY

  • An aunt: Velma Arthur, Nancy, KY

  • Seveal nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Glen Maynard, Charles Wayman Maynard, and Coy Lee Maynard.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
