James Michael "Mike" O'Banion, 58 of Campbellsville, KY, died at 3:35pmET, Saturday, October 8, 2011 in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Wedesday, October 12, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Brent Gupton. Burial will be in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation after 5pmET/4pmCT, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Brett Dobson, Dillon Powell, Richard Powell, Steve Powell, Alex Roberts, and Chance Roberts.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ricky Barnes, Jimmy "Boney" Carnes, Jerry Cox, Gary "Monkey" Hubbard, Stephen Huber, Kevin Jeffries, Jimmy Nolley, J.R. "Slick" Polston.

James Michael O'Banion, Taylor Co., KY (1953-2011)

James Michael "Mike" O'Banion was the son of Catherine Gupton O'Banion Sutton and the late Harvey O'Banion. He was born in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, Tuesday, July 14, 1953. He died Saturday, October 8, 2011 in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 58 years, 2 months, and 24 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Seven Hills Church.

He was a heating and air conditioning repairman and had served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Tonya O'Banion Roberts of Bardstown, KY; Kellie O'Banion Tedder of Campbellsville, KY; and Bobbi Jo O'Banion of Junction City, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Alex Roberts, Chance Roberts, and Seamus Huber

  • His mother, Catherine Gupton O'Banion Sutton of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother and one sister: Bobby Joe O'Banion and wife, Judy of Union, KY; and Sue Powell and husband, Danny of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Fiancee: Kristi Hickerson of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to the Galilean Childrens Home and may be made at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
