Lindsey Wilson sponsors Annual Bike Ride Across Kentucky GABRAKY Click on headline for full story, photo(s) By Duane Bonifer COLUMBIA, KY -- Lindsey Wilson College sponsors the annual Governor's Autumn Bicycle Ride Around Kentucky last week. The annual three-day event began this year at the state Capitol in Frankfort on Friday, October 7, 2011, and concluded Sunday at the LWC Doris and Bob Holloway Health & Wellness Center. GABRAKY is a fundraiser for Frankfort's downtown Grand Theatre, a 428-seat community arts center. Portions of the funds raised also go to the National organization Bikes Belong and the local Walk/Bike Frankfort non-profit group. This year, a total of 60 riders made the 220-mile ride. Following their ride, 17 riders celebrated with brunch in the LWC Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center. Riders who attended the brunch were Stan Betsworth of Frankfort, KY; David A. Blandard of Paducah, KY; Bob Clegg of New Market, MD; Phil Coleman of Frankfort, KY; Michelle Haarhues of Denver; Mike Heitz of Lexington, KY; Randy Lucas of Vanceburg, KY; Chris McGlone of Vanceburg, KY; L. Alex McGlone of Vanceburg, KY; Angela Mitchell of Frankfort, KY; Greg Moore of Frankfort, KY; Josh Nagode of Sheboygan, Wis.; Charlie Pearl of Frankfort, KY; Chris Schmidt of Columbia; Ed Stadola of Frankfort, KY; George Wilding of Frankfort, KY Not present: Toby Young of Columbia.
