She was a member of a large, respected Russell County, KY family, a homemaker, and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church

Alice Gaye Wilson, 61, Hwy. 1870, Russell Springs, KY, died Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the Laker Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY.

The funeral service will be at 2pmCT, Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, Ky, with Bro. Billy Dunbar the officiating clergy. Special music will be by Bobby Dunbar and Diane Hughes. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Monday, October 10, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wilkerson Cemetery.



Pallbearers will be Josh Roy, Travis Roy, Mark Roy, Gary Roy, Jimmy Morgan, and Jackie Johnson.

She was born Tuesday, November 22, 1949, in Russell Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Edith Alta Hadley Roy and the late Rue Garland Roy. She died Saturday, October 8, 2011, in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY, at the age of 61 years, 10 months, and 16 days.She was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Cyrus Bryant Wilson, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Special niece and nephew: Savannah and Joshua Roy

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • One sister: Debbie Roy, Russell Springs, KY

  • Four brothers: Junior (Mary) Roy; Freddie (Laura) Roy, Scottie (Leslie) Roy, all of Russell Springs, KY; and Orvis (Nancy) Roy, Jamestown, KY
The Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
