Susie Johnson, Taylor Co., KY (1933-2011)

She was the matriarch of a large, respected Taylor Co., KY, family. She leaves 37 direct living descendants. She was the widow of Percy Cornelius Johnson and a member of Calvary Seventh Day Adventist Church, Campbellsville, KY

Susie Johnson, 77, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 6amET, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in Lexington, KY.

Memorial services will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Calvary Seventh Day Adventist Church, 105 N. Vine ST, Campbellsville, KY by Pastor Michael Harris.



Susie Johnson, Taylor Co., KY (1933-2011)

Susie Johnson was the daughter of the late Daniel Cavalier and Isabelle Price Cavalier, was born in Weyanoke, West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, on Saturday, November 4, 1933. She died at Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 11 months.

She professed faith in Christ and attended the Calvary Seventh Day Adventist Church. She united in marriage to Percy Cornelius Johnson. He preceded her in death September 27, 1995.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and four daughters: Evette Clay of Lexington, KY;Anthony Johnson of Campbellsville, KY; Ty Johnson and wife, Allison of Broomfield, Colorado; Denise Broadnax and husband, John of Alexander City, Alabama; Isabell Roach and husband, John of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Dianne Norwood and husband, Lester of Baker, Louisiana

  • Sixteen grandchildren

  • Fifteen great-grandchildren

  • One brother: Daniel Cavalier and wife, Cathy of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Holifield and two brothers and two sisters: Ledell Cavalier, Louis Cavalier, Dixie Cavalier Webster and Doretha Cavalier.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
