News from the Adair County Garden Club

Adair County has a new family in residence and the Adair County Garden Club has new supporters in the form of the "Yardfolk Family".

Members of the Adair County Garden Club have worked hard to bring you these little people straight from their imaginations to our community. Our Yardfolk have come here to add that special something to your yard and garden. The "Yardfolk family" will be offered at Silent Auction on Saturday October 8, 2011 during Columbia's Downtown Days Festival.

Bucky is waiting to help you plant, or maybe you'd like to escape and just go fishing with Little Joe. Maddie and little Sweetie Pie have come all the way from Haiti to be with you. More than twenty members of this special family are waiting for you.

We hope that you will visit our Silent Auction booth on the square during Columbia's Downtown Days festival. If you can't visit us in person you can still support the ACGC by bidding on any or all of the "Yardfolk" by phone or email.

Bids are being taken now through October 8, 2011, at 2pmCT. You are welcome to call Barbara Armitage at 270-250-2979 or email at yrnickel@duo-county.com to place a bid.All proceeds will help support the Adair County Garden Club gardening and environmental programs in Adair County. Thanks for your support. -BARBARA ARMITAGE.
