Faye Duncan LaFreniere, Adair Co., KY native (1935-2011)

She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian Pearl Duncan. She was the matriarch of a large, respected Dexter, Michigan family.

Faye Duncan LaFreniere age 76 years formerly of the Cundiff Community of Adair County passed away Monday, October 3, 2011 at her home in Dexter, Michigan after an illness.

A graveside service will be held: Wednesday October 5, 2011 at 10amCT, at the York Cemetery in Russell County, KY. Interment in the York CemeteryThere will be no visitation.

She was born Saturday, September 14, 1935 in Cundiff, Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian Pearl York Duncan. She died Monday, October 3, 2011, in Dexter, Washtenaw County, Michigan, at the age of 76 years and 19 days.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: James Berlett of Dexter, Michigan.

  • Three daughters: Deborah Berry (Al Drellich) of Brooklyn, NY; Susan (Jack) Church of Pinckney, Michigan; Karen (Michael) Alexa of Whitmore Lake, Michigan

  • Seven grandchildren: Justin Stanfield, Jacob Church, Samantah Church, Syndel Church, Natalie Alexa, Shelby Alexa and Jessica Alexa

  • Many beautiful nieces and nephews: Cal Read, Rebecca Antle, Gary Duncan, Delynne Lahtinen, Terri Shock, Rebecca Donovan, and Amy Duncan
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Berry.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, in charge of funeral arrangements.
