Casey Clarke gets first collegiate hat-trick Click on headline for complete story plus photo(s) By Chris Megginson / Campbellsville University BEREA, KY - Campbellsville University senior captain Casey Clarke returned to the site of his first collegiate goal Sunday and led the Tigers to a 3-1 victory over Berea College with his first collegiate hat-trick. Clarke scored twice off assists from Emanuel Nfor and netted a penalty kick to lead the Tigers to their third victory of the season. The hat-trick milestone came three years and 19 days after he scored his first two goals as a Tiger in a 5-1 win at Berea in September 2008. The three goals gives Clarke six for the season as he takes over the team lead for goals scored. The goals were his 25th through 27th of his career. Andy Orr also had a chance at a PK in the game, but failed to convert. Berea scored its lone goal on a penalty kick by Ismaila Ceesay. CU goalkeeper Kyle Thomas stopped the only two shots on goal aside from the PK. The win moves Campbellsville to 3-5-2 on the year as the Tigers start the final month of the regular season. CU is now 16-6-2 for the month of October in Clarke's four-year career as a Tiger. -CHRIS MEGGINSON This story was posted on 2011-10-03 07:24:57
