Dale Morrison, Adair County, KY (1928-2011)

He was a farmer and a member of a highly regarded South Adair County, KY, family. Dale Morrison Road is named in his honor. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Dale Morrison, 82, of the Glensfork community, died Saturday morning, October 1, 2011, at the Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY..

Graveside services will be Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11amCT, at the Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Stanley Watson officiating and burial to follow. There will be no visitation. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.



Dale Morrison, Adair County, KY (1928-2011)

He was born Saturday, November 3, 1928 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Prather and Jessie Dudley Morrison. He died Saturday morning, October 1, 2011, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 82 years, 10 months, and 28 days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert and William Dudley Morrison.

He was a farmer and a United States Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include the the following:
  • Wife: Ruby Hutchison Morrison of Glensfork, KY

  • Two nephews: Jim Morrison of Hodgenville, KY; and Terry Morrison of Lexington, KY

  • One niece: Bonnie McKinney of Columbia, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends.
