Melewi has three well behaved Yard Folks riding in her car Yard Folks are going to be sold at Silent Auction, unless somebody wants one bad enough ahead of thyme to make the ACGC an offer they can't refuse! By Melewi News from the Adair County Garden Club I have three of these "Yard Folks" riding in my car with me daily. They are children. One is a baby, one a three year old girl and one a 4 year old boy. They are very good. They never fuss or fight with each other. They are always smiling and they never want to go to a fast food restaurant. We had a great time while we were trying to find clothes for these folks. The clothes were bought at The Shepherd Shop for the Yard Folks. I made them and we had a great time working with the ladies there. The yard folks started out to be scare crows and then we decided to do something that could go in your yard, gardens or on your porch all year long. They are stuffed with plastic bags so if they get wet they will dry out quickly. Some sit and some, some stand. We invite everyone to come to the Garden Club booth on the square and see them. They can be purchased through a silent auction that will last from 8am-12pm noon Ct, October 8, 2011 at Downtown Days. If you see one that you really want make us a good offer and we will sell them also. MELEWI, Maury E. Lewis, Chairperson for Adair County Garden Club, Downtown Days This story was posted on 2011-09-29 13:13:45
