George William Reece, Metcalfe Co., KY (d. Sept. 21, 2011)

He was a member of a large, respected South Metcalfe County, KY, family. He was a member of the Cedar Hill United Baptist Church and a retired employee of Dana Corporation in Glasgow, KY

George William Reece age 67 of Edmonton, KY, died Wednesday, September21, 2011 at his home. He was the son of the late Herbert Wood Reece andMargaret Ennis Reece of Knob Lick, KY, who survives.

Funeral services were held at 3pMCT, Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery.



He was a retired employee of Dana Corp and member of the Cedar Hill United Baptist Church.

Besides his mother he was survived by his wife Eloise Hatcher Reece, and the following:
  • One son Eddie (Alisha) Reece ofEdmonton, KY

  • One daughter: Christy Houchens of Edmonton, KY

  • Six grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren

  • Three step grandchildren

  • Four brothers: WalterReece of Summer Shade, KY; Stanley, Larry and James Ray Reece, all of Knob Lick

  • One sister: Sharon Wells of Summer Shade, KY

  • Besides his father he was preceded indeath by one son Chad Reece and one brother Charles Reece

    Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
