Sale of Molasses honors memory of Mitch Harris

'I thought this would be one way to honor my Dad, who was my biggest Hero,' JOHN HARRIS

John Harris writes:
Ed, I am carrying on a tradition that my Dad, Mitchell Harris, did every Fall. He would have Molasses for sale at Harris Barber Shop and Town Barber Shop starting in mid-September

The Molasses have arrived and can be purchased in pints and quarts. I wasn't going to do this, but the public kept asking if they were going to be for sale this fall. I thought this would be one way to honor my Dad, who was my biggest Hero. Thank you - John Harris
Mitch Harris was a member of a prominent Adair County family, a member of the Free Union Separate Baptist Church, and a Separate Baptist Minister for over 40 years in Adair and Russell Counties. He was a barber in Columbia for approximately 50 years. He served 11 years on the Westlake Regional Hospital Board of Directors serving 6 years as chairman. He died June 10, 2011.
