On Thursday afternoon, September 15, 2011, at the Pines at LWC, the Indians posted a terrific score of (152) to roll past Cumberland's (188) and Green's (193).

Van Giles and Alex Durham turned in a pair of 1-under par rounds of 35's to lead the Indians. Trey Garmon (39), Daniel Rarey's (40), Riley Grant's (42), and Jerrod Grider's (47) rounded out the scoring for the Indians.

The Indians match play record stands at 16 wins against 1 loss for the season as they head into their last match of the season next week as they travel to Russell County to take the host lakers.

Coach's Critique: A bittersweet day: Today was very bittersweet for me. We played great, especially Alex and Van, and are starting to peak at just the right time for us but seeing Van and Jerrod play their last home match for us was a little hard to swallow. Both those young men have invested so much time into our program, that you just hate to see them move on. Van has, in my opinion, accomplished more in the sport of golf than any other student/athlete before him. His credentials are unmatched but I look for him to only add to them even more as we head into post season play. I can't say enough about how Alex is playing and Daniel and Trey are really coming along as well. We are going to be a hard team to beat come the end of September.

ACHS Boy's Jr Varsity Action:The JV Indians shot a team score of (178) to best Green County's (235). The JV Indians were led by Blake Maupin's (41). Austin Cundiff's (42), Tanner Garmon's (45), Jacob Keltner's (50), and Jameson Miller's (58) rounded out the scoring. The JV Indians match play record now stands at 8 wins against 1 loss for the year.

Coach's Critique, JV: Our kids didn't dwell on our loss for very long. They played terrific today. Blake and Austin played very well. The future of Adair County Golf is in good hands with these young men. -Coach Burton.
