Linda Lee Poynter age 71 of Glasgow died Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Sunday, September 18, 2011, at Christian Fellowship Church, Horse Cave, KY, with burial in the Buck Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12pmCT, Saturday at the church.



She was the daughter of the late Willard and Nell Hagan. She was a homemaker and member of the Christian Fellowship Church at Horse Cave.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her husband: Floyd Poynter of Glasgow, KY

  • Two sons: Floyd Jr. (Linda) Poynter Jr of Horse Cave, KY, and Johnny (Anna) Poynter of Glasgow, KY

  • One daughter: Judy (Robert) Poynter of Horse Cave, KY

  • Two sisters: Frances Karnes of Center and Ann Blankenship of London, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Twelve great grandchildren

  • Six step great grandchildren
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Ricky Lee Poynter; two brothers Jessie and Bill Hagan, and one sister, Marie Mills.Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
