Ashley Goodin makes All Conference; ACHS golf 4th Ashley Goodin makes All Conference team as the Adair Girls' golf team finishes 4th in the Heartland Conference tournament on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Campbellsville Country Club in Campbellsville, KY. TEAM Scores: Green Co. 326, Taylor Co. 337, Marion 376, Adair 398. Campbellsville finished 5th, and Washington Co. 6th. INDIVIDUALS: Ellen Kehoe and Cassidy Scantland, both 73; Olivia Parrott 80, Ashley Goodin 84, Sydney Smith 85, ACHS Individual Scores: Ashley Goodin 84, Emilee Royse 98, Rachel Phipps 111, Jessica Smipson 119. Click on headlline for complete story plus photo(s) By Kim Goodin, ACHS Girls Golf Coach Ashley Goodin finished fourth overall shooting an 84 and made the All Conference team. Cassidy Scantland (Green Co.) defeated Ellen Kehoe (Taylor Co.) on the fourth playoff hole after both girls had finished with a 73 for the day. Olivia Parrott (Green Co.) finished third shooting an 80. Sydney Smith (Green Co.) finished fifth with an 85. The Green Co. girls won the team honors shooting a 326. Taylor Co. was runner up with a 337. Third place went to Marion Co. with a 376. Adair Co. finished with a 398. Campbellsville and Washington finished fifth and sixth respectively. Individual scores for Adair were Rachel Phipps 111, Emilee Royse 98, Abby Royse 105, Jessica Simpson 119. Coach's Critique: I'm so proud of Ashley for making the All Conference team. She had told me that morning her goal was to be in the top five. The sad part is I was about to load her on the bus to go home and she looked at me and said, "We're going home before I get my trophy.? " I had totally forgotten they give All Conference trophies to the top five. Sorry Ashley, all I know is your coach/aunt is getting old!!! -KIM GOODIN.
