Mrs. Regina Pearl Melton Norris, age 81, of the Whites Bottom Community in Cumberland Co., KY, passed away on Sunday September 11, 2011 at her home.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday September 14, 2011 at 1pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main ST, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Elvin Milam and Bro. Benjamin Waid officiating. Burial will be in the Norris Family Cemetery in the Whites Bottom Community of Cumberland Co., KY. Visitation after 6pmCT on Tuesday until funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born in the Whites Bottom Community on Thursday July 31, 1930. She was the daughter of Millard and Della Norris Melton. She died Sunday, September 11, 2011, in Whites Bottom, Cumberland Co., KY, at the age of 81 years, 1 month, and 11 days.

She was a homemaker, a farmer, and a member of Pleasant Hill Community Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Norris, and her brother Lyle Melton.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her children: Jackie (and Cora) Norris of Burkesville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews, and several cousins
