4-H Cloverbud meeting on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 By Tony Rose There will be a 4-H Cloverbud meeting on Thursday, September 15 starting at 6pmCT, at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY. It will last for one hour. The Cloverbud program is for youth who are ages 5- 8 or are in Kindergarten through the 3rd grade. 4-H Cloverbuds Help Young People: Learn more about themselves and the world around them, Develop positive attitudes about learning new things by hands-on involvement, Develop a positive relationship with a caring adult or older youth helper and to Learn about the 4-H Youth Development Program. The primary goal for Cloverbuds is to promote children's healthy development--mentally, physically, socially & emotionally. The 4-H Cloverbud program provides an excellent opportunity for children to reach his or her highest potential because early life experiences, even subtle ones, affect future development. Cloverbud meetings: 4-H Cloverbud meetings will be held the third Thursday of each month and will be held at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service located at 409 Fairground Street in Columbia. Meetings will start at 6:00 pm CT and last for one hour. Topics for this fall meetings are: September 15 - Topic: Science & Technology- The Wonder of Water; October 20 - Topic- Plants & Animals- Pets; November 17 - Topic- Personal Development- I Am Special; and December 15 Topic- Expressive Arts- Exploring Tales For each meeting snacks and a craft project will be provided. -TONY ROSE This story was posted on 2011-09-12 08:24:58
