Bernice Davis, Taylor Co., KY (1930-2011)

She was a member of a large, respected Taylor Co., KY family. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church, a former employee of Philip Morris in Louisville, KY, and of Campbellsville Laundry in Campbelllsville, KY.

Bernice Davis, 81, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 7:50 P.M., Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 81

Funeral services are at 1pmET/12 noon CT, Friday, September 2, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Michael Goodwin. Burial will be in the Campbellsvile Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be after 6pmET/5pmCT, Thursday, September 1, 2011, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Jeremiah Davis, Joshua Davis, Elliott Davis, Evan Davis, Lonnie Davis, Jeff Davis, and Terry Davis.

Bernice Davis, Taylor Co., KY (1930-2011)

Bernice Davis was the daughter of the late Walter Earl Hash and Edna Underwood Hash. She was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, Tuesday, January 28, 1930. She died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 2 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Salem Baptist Church.

She was a former employee of Philip Morris in Louisville and Campbellsville Laundry in Campbellsville.

She was an honorary member of the Eastern Star.

She united in marriage to Garnett Davis, Sr. July 4, 1946.

Besides her husband, Garnett Davis, Sr. she is survived by the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Will and Donna Davis of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandsons: Jeremiah Davis and wife, Tabetha of Campbellsville, KY; and Joshua Davis and wife, Kecia of Jasper, Texas

  • Two great grandsons: Elliott Kessler Davis and Evan Shofner Davis of Campbellsville, KY

  • And many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Garland Hash in infancy and Myrtle Cecil Johnson August 25, 1995.
