Charles Marshburn maintains national chains not stupid

Comments re article 46498 Anonymous says Adair County is not a wet county

Charles Marshburn writes:
Those restaurants named previously do things legally. They're not stupid! - Charles Marshburn
Thanks. Mr. Marshburn for your letter; however, it is so righteous it could get one recycled through the Adair Assimilation Academy. I WILL be reporting it to Dr. Johnny Vaughan. It's my civic duty. For all intents and purposes, the law here is Adair County Common Law. None of this francofied Napoleonic Code here. One of the greatest voices ever lifted in defense of the poor and oppressed in Adair County, the late, great Attorney Ralph Hurt, once said, "Every county needs at least one respectable bootlegger." Since prohibition, Adair County has benefited from the services of perhaps the nation's most respectable bootleggers. Or so I've been told. -EW
