He was a member of a large, respected Taylor Co., KY, family and was a native of Casey Co., KY. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY

Donald Richardson of Campbellsville, KY died at 1:55amET, Friday, August 26, 2011 in Campbellsville.

Funeral services are at 2pmET/1pmCT, Sunday, August 28, 2011, at theParrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Shaun Caudill. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation is after 5pmET/4pmCT, Saturday, August 27, 2011.


Donald Richardson, Taylor Co., KY (1940-2011)

Donald Richardson was the son of Geneva Henson Richardson Taylor and the late Troy Richardson. He was born in Casey Co., KY, April 8, 1940. He died Friday, August 26, 2011 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 71 years, 4 months, and 18 days.

He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He united in marriage to Barbara Pickett, August 18, 1960.

Besides his wife, Barbara P. Richardson,\, he is survived by the following:
  • Three sons and five daughters:Jeff Richardson and wife, Jennifer, Todd Richardson and wife, Cricket, Stacy Atwood and husband, Larry, Lisa Martin and husband, Steve, Tammy Jones and Stephanie Richardson, all of Campbellsville; Donnie Richardson of Los Angeles, CA and Jennifer Pyles and husband, Brett of Radcliff, KY

  • Fifteen grandchildren

  • Four great-grandchildren

  • His mother: Geneva Taylor of Liberty, KY

  • One brother: Roger Richardson and wife, Cherry of Liberty, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Lewis Richardson and Cecil Richardson.
