Remembers hiding food from bears on way to Mt. LeConte

Ruth Ann writes:
This brings back memories of Michael and me and Dr. Holladay and Claudette when we hiked up to Mt. LeConte. I remember we had to put our food in a hole with an iron cover to keep the bears from getting it. We had a good meal in the little lodge there. If I remember right it was 7 miles up there. We spent the night in a small cabin with bunk beds. Hiking back down the next day wasn't any easier than going up but I am glad we did it. - Ruth Ann
