ACHS Girls Golf continues winning season

Adair girls' golf wins one and loses one: ACHS 199; Casey Co. 202; Russell Co. HS, 146, ACHS 184; INDIVIDUAL LEADERS: Ashley Goodin 40 and 41 for ACHS; Alyx Streeval 47 for Casey Co.; Brianna Coe a blistering 33 for Russell Co. ACHS Match record goes to 9-3

Adair Co. lost to Russell Co. on Thursday, August 18, 2011.

Russell Co. played super, firng a 146 to Adair's 184. Ashley Goodin shot 41, Rachel Phipps 51, Emilee Royse 45, Abby Royse 47, Madison Bell played but was not able to finish due to time factors.



Russell Co. was led by Brianna Coe 33. Other RCHS scores: Jalena Barnes 34, Kenna Richardson 37, Ryan Hoover 43, and Lesley Roy 43.

Coach's comment: Russell Co. is traditionally very good and proved so in this match. We shot under our average but as the scores reflect, it just wasn't good enough.

ADAIR CO, 199; CASEY CO. 202

We bounced back with a win over Casey Co. on Tuesday, August 23, 2011

We squeaked by with a team total of 199 to Casey Co.'s 202.

Ashley Goodin led all scorers with a 40.

Other Adair County scores: Rachel Phipps 54, Emilee Royse 53, Abby Royse 52, Jessica Simpson 60, Madison Bell 67.

Casey Co. scores were: Emilee Vaughn 48, Natalie McAninch 56, Alyx Streeval 47, Laura McQueen 51, Catherine McAninch 59, and Myla McGowen 66.
