Ken Dotson, Taylor Co., KY (1967-2011)

He was a member of a respected Taylor Co., KY, family. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Tabernacle. He held a degree in Community Counseling from Tennessee Temple University. He was in Who's Who Among American Students, was a published poet, and held an Honorary Contract with the Cincinnati Reds

Ken Dotson Jr., 43, of Campbellsville, KY died at 7:10amET, Saturday, August 20, 2011, in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral services will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at the Bible Baptist Tabernacle, 50 Bambi Drive, Campbellsville, KY, by Pastor Bob Cutler. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, W. Main ST, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation after 12pmET/11amCT., Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Bible Baptist Tabernacle.



Pallbearers: Jay Dotson, John Dotson, Sean Dotson, Seth Dotson, Steven Dotson, Shelby Druien, Mike Osborne, and John Tharp.

Ken Dotson, Taylor Co., KY (1967-2011)

Ken Dotson Jr., was the son of Ken Dotson Sr. and Ruth Ann Powell Dotson. He was born in Oneida, Scott Co., TN, Tuesday, December 10, 1967. He died Saturday, August 20, 2011, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY at the age of 43 years, 8 months, and 10 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bible BaptistTabernacle.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Community Counseling from Tennessee Temple University being named Who's Who among Students in American Universities. He was a Published Poet and has an Honorary Contract with the Cincinnati Reds.

Besides his parents Ken Sr. and Ruth Ann Dotson, Campbellsville, KY, he is survived by the following:
  • Two brothers: Steven Dotson, and John Dotson, Campbellsville, KY

  • Maternal grandmother: Flora Jones, Campbellsville, KY

  • Three nephews: Sean Dotson, Jay Dotson, and Seth Dotson, Campbellsville, KY

  • Two nieces: Ashley Dotson and Staci Dotson, Campbellsville, KY

  • Several aunts and uncles

  • Bible Baptist church family

  • and many other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by one brother in infancy, Michael David Dotson on April 21, 1971; paternal grandparents Charlie and Ruby Dotson.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Gideon Bibles and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
