Mrs. Betty Sherrell Morrison, 71, of Florida, formerly of Taylor County, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Town and Country Hospital in Tampa, Florida.

Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Sherrell Morrison held at 11amCT/12pmET, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Greensburg Cemetery, N. Main ST, Greensburg, KY. Bro. Freddy Thompson will be officiating. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, in charge of the funeral arrangements.


Mrs. Betty Sherrell Morrison, Tampa, FL (1940-2011)

Mrs. Betty Sherrell Morrison was the daughter of the late Milburn Hunt and Annie Arvin Hunt. She was born on Friday, May 17, 1940 in Taylor Co., KY and departed this life on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Town and Country Hospital in Tampa, Hillsborough, FL. She was 71 years, 2 months and 28 days of age.

She was a former factory machine operator and supervisor.

She united in marriage to Russell E. Morrison who preceded her in death on November 7, 2010.

Survivors include the following:
  • Three step-children: Darrell Morrison of Campbellsville, KY; and Lynette Kessinger and Lane Morrison both of Shelbyville, KY

  • Three brothers and a sister: Edward Hunt, Dale Hunt, Gertrude Sprowles all of Campbellsville, KY; and Kenneth Hunt of Florida

  • Seven step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Morrison was also preceded in death by a step-son: Danny Morrison; and a sister Madeline Warf.
