Adelyne Smith, 85, of Patty Ridge Road, Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at 10:30amCT.

The funeral service will be Saturday, August 20, at 10amCT, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner DR, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Garlin Wilson officiating.. Visitation will be after 5pmCT Friday, August 19, 2011. Burial will be in Humble Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY.



She was a school teacher and a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

She was born Monday, January 9, 1926, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Rosie Francis (Chumbley) Ashbrook and the late Adonis Ashbrook. She died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in Jamestown, Russell Co, KY, at the age of 85 years, 7 months, and 8 days.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Clinton Smith, Russell Springs, KY, and Michael G. Smith, Cincinnati, OH

  • Two daughters: Brenda Rose Wilson, Fairmont, IN; and Carlleen George, Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: Henry Ashbrook, Stearns, KY

  • One sister: Selma Rose Stammer, Daytona, FL

  • Five grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren

  • One great great grandchild
