ACHS Individuals: Ashley Goodin 43, Emily Royse 55, Rachel Phipps 51, Abby Royse 53, and Jessica Simpson 61. NEXT: ACHS vs State Champions Green Co., Heartland Conference Rival Marion at The Pines Click on headline for full story with photo(s) By Kim Goodin, ACHS Girls Golf Coach Girls' golf team came away with wins over Taylor Co. and Campbellsville, KY, and improved theri match record to 8-0, at Campbellsville Country Club yesterday. Taylor Co. did not play their varsity so that win is slightly tarnished. We did not know until we got there that Taylor was not using their varsity team. I guess it is like they say "A Win is a Win." Adair Co. shot a 202, Taylor Co. a 233, and Campbellsville a 347. Ashley Goodin shot a 43, Emilee Royse 55, Rachel Phipps 51, Abby Royse 53, Jessica Simpson 61. Coaches Critique: We are getting the most consistent play out of Abby & Jessica right now, but everybody shot over their average today which pushed us to 15 strokes over our team average. Taylor Co. was led by Maddie Mason with a 54 and Abby Diken led the way for Campbellsville with a 63. We have a few days off. We will not be going to Pulaski Co. Invitational because of scheduling conflicts. -Coach Goodin Our next match : ACHS Girls Golf vs. State Champion Green Co and Marion Co. The Pines, 275 Country Club RD, Columbia, KY 42728 Tee time will be approximately 3:30pm CT. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 vs. State Champion Green Co. and Heartland Conference rival Marion Co.
