Kermit Roscoe Tucker, Adair Co., KY (1933-2011)

He was a member of a large, respected North Adair Co., KY family. He attended Robinson Chapel in Knifley. He was a member of the DAV and was retired from Canton Cooperage in Lebanon, KY, where he had worked as a barrel maker.

Kermit Roscoe Tucker, 78, of the Pellyton community, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Medco Center in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11amCT/12 noon ET, Wednesday, August 10, 2011. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Elvis Tucker, and Bro. Raymond Atwood officiating. Burial in the Dunbar Cemetery, 241 Rose LN, Knifley, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT/5pmET. Tuesday, August 9, 2011.

He was born Monday, August 7, 1933 in Adair Co. KY. He was the son of the late Leslie Lee and Syrena Goodin Tucker. He died Monday, August 8, 2011, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 78 years, 1 day.

He attended Robinson Chapel in Knifley, was member of the DAV, and was retired from Canton Cooperage in Lebanon, where he worked as a barrel maker.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeraldene "Deanie" Feese Tucker, two brothers, Don and O'Connel Tucker, and one sister, Bonnie Burton.

Survivors include the following:
  • Four sons: Rocky and Clayton Tucker both of Knifley, KY; Bryan Tucker of Campbellsville, KY; and Stacey Tucker of Edinburgh, IN

  • Two daughters: Georgina Coffey of Campbellsville, KY; and Millie Foster of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: L.J. Tucker of Knifley, KY

  • One sister: Geneva Fair of Greensburg, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Two step-grandchildren

  • Ten great grandchildren
