Through July 2011, KSP Post 15 area has had 21 traffic deaths Highway deaths soar to 21, from 12 in same period of 2010 within the Columbia, KY, post area. Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY COLUMBIA, KY - During the month of July, 2011, there were 23 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington. There were three fatalities during the month of July in the Post 15 area:
State wide fatality count stands at 389 compared with 423 through this same period in 2010. During the month of July, 2011, there were 1222 citations written, 524 courtesy notices written, 1735 vehicles.
