Does anyone remember Columbia's old telephone booths To ColumbiaMagazine.com Last night my husband, Larry Smith, (the real one; not the one on the radio -CM) and I were discussing the old telephone booths and does anyone recall how many Columbia had and where they were located at their time of use in Columbia, KY, and also what happened to them? We were wondering. -Sincerely, Rita Smith, Columbia, Ky Rita Smith Ironically, the other Larry Smith/Larry Smith, the Radio Guy, would likely have a picture of one of the antique phone booths. It was a shame that those phone booths couldn't be used more. There was always speculation about marital discord when a husband or wife was on the phone in one of the aluminum and class affairs, especially the one at Leo's Motel across from the Circle R. -EW This story was posted on 2011-08-02 11:22:18
