Garland Boyd Rigney, Casey Co., KY (1926-2011) He had retired after a 37 year career as a construction engineer for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. He was a graduate of Campbellsville College, a former Casey County teacher, and was a member of the Athens Church of Christ Garland Boyd Rigney, 85, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY. Visitation is 5pm-9pmET/4pm-8pmCT, Wednesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY.There will be a short service at the funeral home at 11amET/10amCT, Thursday July 21, followed by a 12pm noon ET/11amCT funeral service at Athens Church of Christ with Bro. Kenny Spaw, Bro. Dewey Todd, Bro.Danny Grider, Bro. Thad Eubank, and Bro. Coy Rigney officiating. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery. Garland Boyd Rigney, Casey Co., KY (1926-2011) He was born in Casey County, KY, Wednesday, May 26, 1926. He was the son of the late Charles N. and Viola Myrtle Vanoy Rigney. He died Monday, July 18, 2011, in Liberty, Casey Co., KY, at the age of 85 years, 1 months, and 22 days. He was the widower of Mary Louvenia Spaw Rigney. He was a retired, 37 years construction engineer for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and member of the Athens Church of Christ. He was a graduate of Campbellsville College and then taught school for seven years in Casey County. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Rigney Tucker; brother, Charles N. Rigney and sister, Vina Gay Witt. Survivors include the following:
