Epic literary project underway in Beautiful Joppa Children's book will feature a Groundhog which has captured writer's heart Click on headline for story plus photo By Maury Lewis We have a groundhog on our property and I am writing a book forchildren about him and his antics. Here he is (accompany photo) sitting inside of a flower pot which is in the bottom of a chair under the trees in our front yard. He has a pile of dirt that he climbs on top of and observes the things thatare going on in the yard, like hopping bunnies. And he listens for the calling of the quail in beautiful Joppa. I know there are people out there saying "You need to get rid of that thing,"and I will - in a live trap in the days ahead - but right now I am busy watchingand writing. Stay tuned for the first reading of "I AM GROUNDHOG HEAR ME NOW" -Maury Lewis This story was posted on 2011-07-20 05:56:35
