Richard Raines ID cars as late as 1958s in Larry Smith Photo

Richard Raines writes:
If the cars visible in the middle of the left hand side of the picture are the same ones from the picture you ran the other day (with the people visiting) in front of the drug store) the 2 tone station wagon by the steps is a 1958 Chevrolet station wagon.

I also saw a pale 1957 Chevrolet station wagon (second car up pulled in off the main street on left across from courthouse). You can tell it by the "signature" tailfins from 1957. I can't make anything out for certain any newer although there might be a pale 1959 Ford 4-door sedan on the left in front of stores. (I kind of miss the days from mid 1950s to about 1975 or 1976 when you could tell the full sized Ford and Chevrolets just by glancing at them - I never was good at telling the compacts, Dodges or the more "upscale" brands apart --Richard Raines
