The Adair County Knife Club presented Kosair Charities with a check for $800.00 at special ceremonies on Tuesday, July 5, 2011.

At the meeting there were testimonies about the benefits to local citizens provided by Kosair Charities.

Those present for the ceremony were Jordan Melson, Shriner; Tony Helm, Shriner; Joe Flowers, Shriner; Kosair representative Eric Churchill; Knife Club President Jason Cox; Sheriff Harrison Moss; Bill Aaron, Jacob Morrison, and Andrew Henderson; Willard Bryant, Dalton Coomer, Jimmie Bennett, Philip Cox, Donald Thomerson, Allen Day, David Henderson, Winston Bennett, and Richard Chelf.

Mr. Eric Churchill of Kosair Charities said that other ways the money helped was through direct support of charities such as the Ronald McDonald House, which has helped so many Adair Countians.

The Adair County Knife Club want to tank all those who donated items for the auction and those who bought items at the auction or helped in any way.

We also want to thank those who come and support the auction throughout the year to make it possible for us to help Kosair Charities.

We invite any to come to the monthly Knife Auctions. We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday nights at the Masonic Lodge, 501 Burkesville ST, Columbia, KY basement. Doors open at 3pmCT, and the auction starts at 5pmCT. For more information call Jason Cox (270) 270-1627; Willard Bryant (270) 634-1627; or Philip Cox (270) 932-7276. -Shirley Moss
