Bro. Frank (1941-2011) and Jane Fishback (1943-2011)

South Central Kentucky mourns the tragic deaths of highly regarded Burkesville, KY, couple in automobile accident in Metcalfe Co., KY. Bro. Frank Fishback was a Baptist minister and carpenter. Jane Fishback was a housewife. Both were members of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

Bro. Frank and wife Jane Fishback of Burkesville, KY formerly of Edmonton and New Salem, Indiana died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 as the results of an automobile accident in Metcalfe Co., KY

Joint funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonoton, KY, with burial in the Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Friday, July 15, 2011, and after 9amCT, Saturday, July 16, 2011, at the funeral home.



Frank Fishback, Cumberland Co., KY (1941-2011)

Frank Fishback, 70, was born Thursday, April 3, 1941. He was the son of the late Keller O. and Ernestine Alexander Fishback. He died Tuesday July 12, 2011, in Metcalfe Co., KY, at the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 9 days.

Bro. Frank was a carpenter and Baptist minister.

Jane Fishback, Cumberland Co., KY (1943-2011)

Jane Fishback was born Tuesday, November 9, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Eula Stapleton Russell. She died Tuesday July 12, 2011, in Metcalfe Co., KY, at the age of 67 years, 8 months, and 3 days.

She was a homemaker and she along with Frank were members of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

Bro. Frank and Jane Fishback were married November 28, 1959 and unto this union was born six children. Keller (Shelly) Fishback of Glasgow. Mark (Cheryl) Fishback of Spotsylvania, Virginia. Sherry Devitt of Crawfordsville, Indiana and Ginger (Joey) Acree of Edmonton. Twins Kyle and Kyla died at birth.

They are also survived by the following.:
  • Nine grandchildren. Michele (Miles) Stucky, Brandi Fishback, Brooke Bryant, Luke Devitt, Amberly Fishback, Keller Acree, Colton Acree, Scott Acree and Russell Acree.

  • Two great grandchildren: Kurt Morgan and Clayton Bryant

  • One honorary grandson: Kyle Woods

  • And 43 foster grandchildren
Bro Frank is survived by three brothers: Ed (Bobbie) Fishback, Richard (Sandra) Fishback and Robert (Betty) Fishback.

Jane is survived by one sister and six brothers: Betty (Robert) Fishback, Kyle (Mary Jane) Russell, Bob (and the late Belva) Russell, Don (Betty) Russell, Glenn (Jo) Russell, Chuck (Teresa) Russell and Steve (Vicky) Russell.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to the St Jude Childrens Foundation in Care of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in care of John Hubbard, 1965 Toby Hill Rd., Edmonton, Kentucky 42129.
