Charlie Sparks Funeral: Town united to give sad farewell Carol Miller writes: I would like to let everyone know how special this city of Columbia is. Working the funeral dinner it was amazing the amount of food, support and prayers that were offered to his family. This town came together and put on a meal that probably will never be matched. What a wonderful place this is to know that everyone in this town joined together and said good-bye to someone who loved his home town and gave his life protecting it. Way to go, Columbia! It is wonderful to belong to a community which cares so much. -Carol MIller This story was posted on 2011-07-13 11:05:50
