Driver arrested following 1 vehicle crash on KY 61 N

Lodged in Adair Co. Regional Jail after being transported to Westlake for treatment

Stephen Franklin, 58, Greensburg RD, Columbia, KY, was arrested on July 9, 2011, at 10:02pmCT, by Adair County Sheriff Deputy Aaron Rainwater after he was involved in a a single vehicle automobile accident on KY 61 North.

Franklin was operating a 1999 Ford south bound on KY 61 N, five miles north of city limits when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a guard rail.



Franklin was transported from the scene to Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY, by Adair County EMS, where he was treated and later released. Franklin was then arrested and chargedwith the following:
1) Operating a motor vehicle under the influence ofalcohol/drugs/etc .08 aggravated circumstances 4th offense or2) leaving the scene of an accident/fail to render aid orassistance 3) operating on suspended or revoked operatorlicense.
Franklin was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail in Columbia, KY.
