Richard Lee Russell, Taylor Co., KY (1935-2011)

He was member of a large, respected Taylor Co., KY family. He leaves 21 direct living descendants. He was a member of the Green River Memorial Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon and choir member. He was a heavy equipment operator.

Richard Lee Russell of Campbellsville, KY, died at 4:15amET, Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Campbellsville.

Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, Sunday, July 10, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY. The funeral service will be at 11amCT/10amET, Monday, July 11, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, by Rev. Landon A. Hadley and Rev. Jamie Bennett. Burial will be in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.



Richard Lee Russell, Taylor Co., KY (1935-2011)

Richard Lee Russell was the son of the late Claud Russell and Annie Sanders Russell. He was born Tuesday, March 5, 1935 in Taylor Co., KY. He died Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Campbellsville, KY at the age of 76 years, 4 months, and 4 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church where he was a former deacon and choir member.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and son-in-law: Jackie Faye and Dwight Alan Bailey

  • One son and daughter-in-law: Richard Lee II and Marie Russell

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Eleven great grandchildren

  • Two sisters and one brother: Velma McVay and Grace Wilson of Campbellsville, KY; and Leslie Russell of Liberty, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
He was also preceded in death by four brothers: Fred Lewis Russell, Wallace C. Russell, C.T. "Tom" Russell and Bob Russell.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations ot Hosparus of Central Kentucky and may be made at the funeral home.
