Injury Collision occurs in Cumberland Co., KY this morning

Driver swerves to miss deer on KY 90. KSP assisted by Cumberland Co. EMS, Marrowbone FD, and Emergency Disaster Response

BURKESVILLE, KY - Trooper Tony Wells, of KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, is investigating a collision that occurred Tuesday morning, July 5, 2011 at 08:50amCT, five miles West of Burkesville on KY 90. Larry Ballard, age 61 of Marrowbone, was traveling West on KY 90 in a 1999 Ford Ranger when he swerved to miss a deer, ran off the roadway, and struck a culvert.

Mr. Ballard was wearing his seatbelt, treated and released from the Cumberland County Hospital, in Burkesville, KY. Trooper Wells was assisted at the scene by Cumberland County Sheriff Stevie Wheat, Cumberland County EMS, Marrowbone Fire Department, and Emergency Disaster Response.
