Connie Kemp identifies location of Queen Annes Lace plant

Joyce Coomer of Printing Creations, who submitted the tough photo puzzler of the Queen Anne's Lace growing up through asphalt pavement, sends hearty congratulations to Connie Kemp for being so observant.

The plant picture was taken in the parking lot behind Glamourette Beauty Shop, less than one block from the Adair Annex.

The plant was truly hiding in plain view. Several people have sent answers to the mystery of the location of the Queen Anne's Lace photo.The complete list of answers is below, in reverse order of receipt.

  • Jennifer Carter (2011-06-30/2:35pmCT):" I say the plant is behind Walker Realty in the parking lot that Bank employees utilize."
  • Sheila Hare (2011-06-30/1:36pmCT: "Is this behind the office of Richard Lee Walkers Office. Or the strip of offices that his office is around behind the building? This is my guess."
  • Martha Lacy (2011-06-30/12pmCT) "I think it is beside Dr. Browns office in the parking lot where she and her employees park"
  • Joyce Turner (2011-06-30/11:19am): "Beside the eldercare building on Reed Street."
  • Doris Hovious (2011-06-30/8:37amCT): "I think it is the parking lot of the Columbia Baptist Church."
  • Johnnietta Jessie (2011-06-30/7:24amCT) "Behind the old library; next to the building which was built behind it." We think this might be describing Jefferson Alley. Maybe the Coomer Building, Loy Law office, or Moore's Pool Room
  • Lance Bean (2011-06-30/5:45amCT) "Reed St."
  • Anonymous (2011-06-30/2:49amCT): "By the VFW Building by the fairgrounds."
  • Steve Hovious (2011-06-29/11:06pmCT): "It looks like the VFW Building."
