Flossie Garmon age 80 years of Columbia, KY passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY after several months illness.

The funeral service will be Monday, July 4, 2011at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY with Rev. Scott Ezell the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Hill Cemetery, 100 Harm Shelton RD, Columbia, KY, in the Chance Community of Adair Co. KY. The family requests visitation after 2pmCT, on Sunday, July 3, 2011, at the funeral home.



Flossie Garmon, Adair Co., KY (1931-2011)

She was born in Adair County, KY January 3, 1931 the daughter of the late: Elic and Katie Coomer Hill. She died in Greensburg, Green Co., KY, on Friday, July 1, 2011, at the age of 80 years, 5 months, and 21 days.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Donald Ray Garmon of Goshen, Ohio; and Robert Garmon of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Arie Hill of Jamestown, KY, and Thomas Hill of Riceville, TN

  • Four sisters: Ruby Spicer of North Vernon, IN; Matra Roach of Chicago, IL; Hazel Neal of Chicago, IL; and Cecile Harvey of Columbia, KY

  • Three grand children

  • Four great grandchildren
Mrs. Garmon attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Columbia and was a homemaker.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
