Tara Bennett Hickey, 38, Jamestown ST, Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, June 29, 211, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY.

The funeral service will be Friday, July 1, 2011, at 1pmCT, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. James Small and Bro. Charles Edwards the officiating clergy. Special music will be by Higher Call. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Thursday, June 30, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery.

She was born Thursday, March 8, 1973, in Franklin, Johnson Co., IN. She was the daughter of Jeanie Lawless McQueary and the late Gary Dean Bennett. She died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY, at the age of 38 years, 3 months, and 21 days.

She was a teacher's aid and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her parents: Jimmy and Jeanie McQueary, Russell Springs, KY

  • Her brother: Kevin (Sholanda) Bennett, Russell Springs, KY

  • Her sister: Jiennifer (Wesley) Burton, Russell Springs, KY

  • Maternal grandmother: Margaret Lawless, Russell Springs, KY

  • Paternal grandmother: Louise Popplewell, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two step brothers: Jeremy and Ryan McQueary, Columbia, KY

  • One step sister: Jamie McQueary, Columbia, KY
