Norma Jane Derringer, Casey Co., KY (1942-2011)

She was a member of a large, respected Casey Co., KY family. She was retired from American Greeting Card Co. in Danville, KY, and was a member of the Liberty First Baptist Church

Norma Jane Derringer passed away Tuesday June 28 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was 69.

Funeral services will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Sunday July 3, 2011 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jimmy Brown and Bro. Casey Davis officiating. Burial is at Whited Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmCT, Saturday, July 2, 2011, and continue Sunday from 8amET/7amCT, until the funeral service.

She was born in Casey Co., KY, on Saturday, June 6, 1942. She was was the daughter of the late Alvin and Ruby Marple Derringer. She died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, in Danville, Boyle Co., KY, at the age of 69 years and 22 days.She was retired from American Greeting Card Co., and was a member of the Liberty First Baptist Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: David Derringer of Richmond, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Kristeena and (Ian) Abney and Michael Derringer

  • A brother: Wayne "Birdlegs" Derringer of Campbellsville, KY

  • A niece: Rhonda Thompson

  • Several nephews
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Linda Derringer, Marilyn June Godsey and Judy Gabehart.

McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY in charge of arrangements.
