One injured in 2 vehicle collision west of Springfield, KY By TFC Wm. R. Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY WASHINGTON CO., KY - Trooper Fred Cornett is investigating a collision that occurred Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at 10:45amET, 3 miles west of Springfield, KY, on US 150. The collision occurred when a 1994 Ford, operated by David McGhee, age 55, of Boston, KY was traveling westbound on US 150 and struck a 2000 Ford pickup, operated by Ignacio Nava, age 35, of Springfield, in the rear. Both operators were belted at the time of the collision and not injured. A passenger in the McGhee vehicle, James Poledor, Jr., age 25, of Shepherdsville, was belted and not injured. Passengers in the Nava vehicle, Sonia Orozco, age 37, Coania Nava, age 4, and Nathan Nava, age 2, were all belted. Sonia Orozco was transported to the Spring View Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries and then released. Trooper Cornett was assisted at the scene by Washington County EMS.
