Mr. Curtis Alvin Price, age 83, Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Jellico Community Hospital in Jellico, TN.

The funeral services for Mr. Curtis Alvin Price will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Jim Roark and Bro. Raymond Clark will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pm until 8pmCT., Wednesday, June 30, 2011, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Thursday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Joe Davis, Tommy Buckner, Joe Ben Dunn, Jerry Arnett, Todd Bloyd, Mark Chaudoin, Scottie Davis, Ronnie Bishop, and Garnett Wayne Davis.

Curtis Price, Green Co., KY (1927-2011)

Mr. Curtis Alvin Price was the son of the late Luther Price and Jane Wright Price Noe. Hewas born on Tuesday, December 13, 1927 in Green Co., KYand departed this life on Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Jellico Community Hospital in Jellico, Campbell Co., TN. He was 83 years, 6 months and 14 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Holiness Faith. He was a self employed farmer and plumber.

Mr. Price united in marriage to Emma Underwood in December of 1961 who preceded him in death on March 21, 1982.

Survivors include the following:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Martha and Brian Reeves of Williamsburg, KY

  • Two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Mary Ella Underwood, Shelby Underwood, Christine Underwood, Delbert and Marsha Underwood all of Greensburg, KY

  • ;To close cousins: Janice May of Greensburg, KY; and Dorothy Beeler of Hart Co., KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Price was also preceded in death by two infant sons: Roger Dale Price and Curtis Alvin Price, Jr.; four brothers: Thurman Price, Lindsey Price, Vernon Price and Earl Price.

T he Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
