Brewer-CU, Warrenhuffman-CU, Wilson-LWC on NAIA Super 72 Three local football players receive prestigious national ranking. CU's Gerwan Brewer is No. 2 of 3 on list of returners. CU's Stan Warrenhuffman is No. 4 on list of wide receivers. Lindsey Wilson linebacker Sam Wilson makes Super 72 list, No. 7 of 9. By Chris Megginson News from Campbellsville University Athletics GRAND ISLAND, NE - Returning Campbellsville University returning football players Stan Warrenhuffman and Gerwan Brewer have been named two of the best players in the NAIA for their position, the Victory Sports Network announced June 23. The duo have been selected to the Super 72, a list of the top NAIA football players by position. "The NAIA is loaded with talent this year," said Jason Dannelly, owner and founder of the Victory Sports Network. "There is an incredible amount of returning All-Conference and All-American players this season. Each conference is stacked with talent making the upcoming regular season extremely exciting." VSN ranks Warrenhuffman as the No. 4 wide receiver in the NAIA and top in the Mid-South Conference. The 6-foot-4 senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, who is already attracting some NFL attention, will enter the 2011 season with a handful of CU records in his reach. In 2010, Warrenhuffman broke the single-season receptions record with 56 and had seven touchdowns. Brewer, an upcoming sophomore from Louisville, KY, is ranked preseason as the No. 2 return man in the NAIA and Mid-South Conference behind Cumberland University's Daniel Dayton. Brewer was named the MSC East Division Offensive Freshman of the Year in 2010 after collecting 1,243 all-purpose yards. He averaged 30.2 yards per kick return, the fourth best in the NAIA and was ranked in the NAIA Top 20 for total kickoff return yards last season with 543 yards on 18 attempts. His longest was a 73-yard return against Cumberland in the third game of his collegiate career. A total of 17 players from the Mid-South Conference were named to the Super 72. "Making the overall 'Super 72' is a tremendous accomplishment for these athletes" said Dannelly, "Those that made the 'Super Six' have certainly put themselves in an elite group of NAIA football players." Complete analysis of the Super 72, Super 6 and every team in the NAIA is available in NAIA Preview, which can be ordered online at http://www.victorysportsnetwork.com/f/Magazine.php. The magazine also includes an overall rating for every team in the NAIA. The complete list of honorees is below. Overall Super Six
