One injured in single vehicle crash near Loretto, KY Trooper Justin Phillips of KSP Post 15 continues investigation. Driver loses control of pickup, over corrects, and travels through three yards before coming to rest in third yard By TFC William Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY MARION CO., KY - Trooper Justin Phillips is investigating an injury collision that occurred Tuesday June 21, 2011 at approximately 9pmCT, two miles South of Loretto. Joseph Yates, age 20 of Loretto, was operating a 2007 Chevy pick-up traveling North on Loretto Road when he lost control of his vehicle in a curve. Yates, who was belted, over corrected and slid through three yards before coming to rest in the third yard. A passenger in the Yates vehicle, 20 year old Frances Whitehouse of Loretto who was not belted, was transported to Springview Hospital for non life threatening injuries by Marion County EMS. Trooper Phillips was also assisted at the scene by the Loretto Fire Department. The accident continues to be under investigation by Trooper Phillips.
