Billy Joe Holt, Adair Co., KY (1938-2011)

He was a member of a large, respected Millerfield Community area family. Mr. Holt was a truck driver

Billy Joe Holt age 72 years of the Millerfield Community in Adair County passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at 4:50 A. M. at his home after an illness.

Funeral services will be Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 2pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. David Coffey and Bro. Vitis Bailey the officiating clergy. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery, 131 New Hope Church RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Kenny Pyles, Mat Coomer, Brad Holt, Gerald Shepherd, Stephen Shepherd, and Bradley Burton.

Billy Joe Holt, Adair Co., KY (1938-2011)

He was born on December 19, 1938 , in Adair Co., KY. He was the son of the late Loren Lester Holt and Demaris Whited Holt, who survives. He died Friday, June 10, 2011, in the Millerfiled Community of Adair Co., KY, at the age of 72 years, 5 months, and 22 days.

Besides his mother, he is survived by wife, Joyce Rebecca Neat Holt, of Columbia, KY and the following:
  • Two daughters: Demaris Pyles and husband Kenny of Columbia, KY; and Cindy Glore and husband Bill of Whiteland, IN

  • One son: Timothy William Holt of Indianapolis, IN

  • Step daughter: Donna Sue Shepherd of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

  • Step sons: Gerald D. Shepherd of Millbrae, CA; Stephen S. Shepherd of Columbia, KY; and Joseph Bradley Burton and wife Nina of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Dallas "Buddy" Holt of Columbia, KY; David Holt of Monticello, KY

  • One grandson: Bradley Michael Holt

  • Two granddaughters: Sara Monell Coomer and Alisha Marie Glore

  • One step granddaughter: Alexis Burton

  • And a host of other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by one brother. Greg Holt in 2010.Mr. Holt was a truck driver.
