3 injured in 2 car Metcalfe Co., KY injury collision

Injured transported to TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY

EDMONTON, KY - Trooper Jonathan Paull is investigating a collision that occurred Saturday afternoon, June 4, 2011, at 12:30pmCT, one mile West of Edmonton on US68/KY80.

Branden M. Jewell, age 16 of Center was traveling East on 68/80 in a 1995 Chevrolet truck.



Brenda Brown, age 51, of Glasgow, KY, was operating a 2000 Nissan Xterra, she was stopped US68/KY80.

Jewell failed to observe that Brown was stopped and struck Brown's vehicle in the rear.

Brown, Jewell, and a passenger in Jewell's vehicle, 16 yr old Anthony Grimes-Lawless were all wearing seat belts. All three transported to T.J. Sampson Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Trooper Paull was assisted at the scene by Edmonton Police Department, Barren/Metcalfe EMS, and Edmonton Fire and Rescue.
